DAY 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are warmly welcomed to Tanzania with a friendly “Karibu” by your private Hey Safaris guide. From here, you are smoothly transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Northern Tanzania’s iconic safari landscapes.
Set at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha offers a relaxed introduction to the country’s natural beauty and culture. On arrival at your hotel, take time to unwind after your journey and enjoy a peaceful evening.
If time allows, we can arrange a light exploration of the town – perhaps a short walk, local shopping, or a coffee experience – before you settle in for a restful night, ready for the adventure ahead.

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park with your private Hey Safaris guide. Tarangire is renowned for its vast elephant herds and striking landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees – some hundreds of years old and vital to wildlife during the dry season.
The Tarangire River, the park’s only permanent water source, draws an exceptional concentration of animals, particularly in the dry months, when herds of elephants can gather in remarkable numbers alongside other plains game and predators. Over two days, enjoy relaxed game drives at your own pace, allowing time to observe and photograph the wildlife without rush.

Flight To Zanzibar (Included in the price)
Today you begin the next chapter of your journey, flying to the spice island of Zanzibar. On arrival, you are met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.
Zanzibar offers a beautiful contrast to the safari – white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters, and vibrant coral reefs invite you to slow down and unwind. Over the coming days, choose to relax by the ocean or explore the island’s rich cultural heritage. Wander the narrow streets of Stone Town, discover centuries of history, or visit spice plantations to experience the aromas and flavours that define the island.

Lake Manyara National Park
These days are yours to enjoy the ultimate island escape in Zanzibar. Fringed by palm-lined, white sandy beaches and surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean, the island invites you to slow down and savor every moment.
Relax on the beach with a fresh coconut, swim in the warm ocean, or indulge in the rich flavours of Zanzibari cuisine. For those seeking a little adventure, a range of activities can be arranged, both on land and at sea. We highly recommend the Safari Blue cruise for a day on the water, or a guided visit to historic Stone Town to explore the island’s cultural heart.

Departure from Zanzibar International Airport
The last day! Depending on your flight time, you can relax on the beach or explore the island just a little bit more. Then, make your way to Zanzibar International Airport in time for your departure flight. Having second thoughts? It’s also possible to extend your holiday to another paradise island, such as Mnemba, Pemba, or Mafia!
